Conveyor Belt of Love

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

Last night not only saw the premiere of “The Bachelor: On the Wings of Love,” but it also saw the premiere of another reality TV dating show. But this one – “Conveyor Belt of Love,” has a completely new concept to it altogether.

First of all, the viewers were introduced to five ladies who were looking for love. Then, 30 men were placed on the “Conveyor Belt of Love,” where they only had a time slot of 60 seconds to attempt to impress the five women.

And according to popwatch.ew.com, the men on last night’s episode fell into three categories – the men who try too hard, artistic d-bags who take themselves and their faux talents too seriously and the creepy aggressive ones.

One of the guys in the first category was a man, who described himself as the Filipino Criss Angel. One of the men tried to impress the ladies by playing the ukulele, while another came out wearing a Speedo and holding a fluffy dog.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez performed on Dick Clark Rockin’ New Years Eve Times Square live at Aria in Las Vegas.  Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez made the fans roar as Justin sang “One Less Lonely Girl” to Selena.  Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are Nick and Disney celebrities my children follow.  With that in mind, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez will host Pop-Con on February 20 at Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York.

It seems Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez with her band The Scene are the new pop stars for the younger generation.  Hollywood Crush reports about Pop-Con, a pop event for tweens and teens   The event features pop stars such as Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez.  Kids can also find advice about getting into show biz and shop for cool stuff at the “Culture Mall”.

Tickets to see Justin Bieber and Selene Gomez at Pop-Con cost $35 to over $700 based on the package you choose.  Other popular performers at Pop-Con will include the Naked Brothers Band, Care Bears on Fire and Sean Kingston.  I like Sean Kingston! More performed will be announced in the future.  I know my children will want to see this.

Casey Johnson Dead

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

Casey Johnson, daughter of New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, died Monday in Los Angeles, a spokesman for the family announced, without mentioning the cause of her death.

“The Johnson family is mourning its tragic loss, and asks for privacy during this very difficult time,” a family spokesperson said in a statement.

The Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) which responded along with the County Police to what they called an “ambulance death investigation” at 11:51 a.m. (1951 GMT), pronounced Casey dead at her home Monday morning.

“It appears to be a natural death,” an official of the LAPD said, adding that there would be a toxicology report from the coroner’s office where the body is currently lying.

Casey, 30, heiress to the Johnson & Johnson fortune to whom internet celebrity Tila Tequila claimed to be engaged, was the great-granddaughter of the founder of the pharmaceutical giant Johnson & Johnson, manufacturer of health products.

Diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 8, Casey co-wrote a book with her father and mother Sale Johnson in 1994, titled “Managing Your Child’s Diabetes.” She later appeared in shows like ‘The Fabulous Life of…’ and ‘E! True Hollywood Story’.

Besides her parents, she is survived by two sisters and a daughter, Ava-Monroe, whom she adopted from Kazakhstan in 2007.
